Build

Assemble the Right Shoulder

Step 1

Cut these two shoulder accessories from the larger Right Shoulder Accessories plastic frame:

Step 2

Check how these parts fit together, then apply super glue along the raised spine of the smaller part:

Step 3

Fit the two parts together to create Shoulder Accessory A. Take note of the seam:

Step 4

Cut the remaining parts from the larger sprue and lay them out with Shoulder Accessory A as shown. For ease of identification, they are all assigned a letter:

Step 5

Retrieve the shoulder joint assembly from the previous issue. Orientate it as shown, then slide the foot of Shoulder Accessory A into the matching slot at the top. The seam should be facing away from you. If the fit is satisfactory, glue the part into place:

Step 6

Add a little super glue to the foot of Shoulder Accessory B and insert into this location:

Step 7

Add a little super glue to the foot of Shoulder Accessory C and insert into this location:

Step 8

Add a little super glue to the foot of Shoulder Accessory D and insert into this location:

Step 9

Add a little super glue to the foot of Shoulder Accessory E and insert into this location:

Step 10

One final time, ensure the screws of the inner toothed section are inline with Shoulder Accessories A and D, then press the Right Shoulder Spring into the center of the assembly:

Step 11

Retrieve the Right Shoulder Plate from the previous issue. Take note of this notched section:

Fit the Right Shoulder Spring into the ring at the center of this Right Shoulder Plate. Then squeeze the assembly together, so this notch fits over Shoulder Accessory E, as shown:

Step 12

While squeezing the parts together, secure them all with three (3) PM 3×6 mm screws:

Step 13

Cut the shaped part from the smaller Right Shoulder Accessories sprue. Take note of the two pegs on it:

Step 14

Apply small drops of super glue to these pegs and fit this part to the Right Shoulder Plate, as shown:

Step 15

Retrieve the Right Shoulder Joint (Inner) from Issue 23. Note the two screw posts and locating pin on the end:

Step 16

Fit the posts and pin of the Right Shoulder Joint (Inner) to the Right Shoulder Plate, as shown:

Secure these together with two (2) PM 3×8 mm screws:

Step 17

Cut the small pipe from the smaller Right Shoulder Accessories sprue. Apply super glue to this notched end:

Step 18

Fix the pipe into place on the Right Shoulder.

This hole of the Right Shoulder has a matching tab for this notched pipe:

This is not a snug fit, so you will need to hold it in place until the glue sets:

Thoughts

We sure added a lot of attachment points to this shoulder! I hope that means there is a ton of detailing left to come. We did not need the Right Elbow Pin, so keep it safe until we use it in the next issue.
