Build
Begin the Assembly of the First Lower Arm
Right Elbow
Steps 1-2
Retrieve the Elbow Joint assembly from Issue 7. Note the four nubs on the Lower Arm Notched Ring match the recesses in the Elbow Joint:
Press the Lower Arm Notched Ring into this recess, aligning the four pegs, until it sits flush as shown:
Steps 3-4
Fit the Lower Arm A over the post of the Elbow Joint assembly, aligning these markings:
Step 5
Retrieve the Forearm assembly from Issue 14. Note the groove on the Forearm assembly will fit over the raised tab inside the Lower Arm A:
Step 6
Slide the Forearm assembly into the Lower Arm A, aligning the groove:
Step 7
Secure these together down the center of the ‘muscles’ with one (1) PM 3×12 screw *and* one (1) M3 metal spring washer:
Right Forearm Pistons
Step 8
Take a Lower Arm B and fit Lower Arm Rubber Washer over the end as shown. Secure with one (1) PB 2×6 mm screw:
Do not overtighten this; the washers should be able to rotate, but not fall off:
Step 9
Repeat this step for the other two Lower Arm B components:
Finally, slide these into the right forearm cylinders, as shown:
Thoughts
There are a lot of dangling bits hanging off this forearm. It is like a squid! These will all come together when we fit the hand to the forearm.
